Turbulence Training Review - A Real Review About a True Experience

Turbulence Training promises fast fat loss results for men and women who don't have a lot of time to exercise. The workouts promise maximum results in only three workouts a week.

The Guy Who Looks Like He Can Crush Walnuts in His Bellybutton

Before I get into it, check out the picture that started it all. I think it was that photo of Craig Ballantyne that really closed the deal for me. I remember thinking "Holy abdominals, that guy stole my dream body!"

Craig Ballantyne has credentials up the wazoo. He's been doing what he does since the mid nineties, both in the gym and the research lab. I've seen his workout outs in Men's Health, Men's Fitness. They also show up periodically in Oxygen and Shape magazine for the ladies.

He's been a strength coach for hundreds of clients, and he has the body to prove it.

The Program

Turbulence Training is a combination of resistance training, interval training and diet that when combined supercharges your metabolism so that your body burns more calories and fat, even between workouts.

Interval training is what you do instead of cardio. The beauty of his program is that it only takes three workouts a week to get results, and those workouts all take less than an hour; perfect for my busy schedule.

This was a big selling point for me, because I tried to do P90X before. I don't know if you've ever heard of it. I think it's an awesome program too, but you really have to be in great shape to even begin it. It requires that you exercise 6 days out of the week. The longest I was able to keep it up was 3 weeks, before I got sick or was just too weak to continue.

The second biggest reason I choose to go with Turbulence Training is that it is made up primarily of bodyweight and dumbbell exercises. So, I can exercise at home. I don't like the gym and I need gym-membership fees like I need another mortgage; No thank you.

What Do I Get?

Turbulence Training Basic comes with the original Turbulence Training for Fat Loss manual (76 pages), which gives you introductory (for the currently sedentary), beginner, intermediate, and advanced workouts; all together it's about 6 months of workouts.

What Kind of Equipment Do I Need?

Turbulence Training can be done with minimal equipment (a pull up bar, and a stability ball). But, you will get more impressive results if you have some weights available as well. Add a set of adjustable dumbbells (a bar too if you want to be fancy), and a bench and you have everything you need. A kitchen scale is also recommended for the diet portion.

My Results (seven days later)

Like I said, it's a little premature for before and after photos. But, after one week I have lost a total of 4.6 lbs. I thought this was pretty good for exercising so little and eating pretty well. However, when I took a closer look at the numbers I was even more excited.

At the beginning of the week I weighed 193.8 lbs with 26.9% body fat. That means I was carrying a total of 141.7 lbs of lean body mass (that's my weight without all the blubber.) Today I weighed in at 189.2 lbs at 24.9% body fat. That means my lean body mass is now 142.1 lbs. I broke it down below for easier reading.

So, I think that's not too shabby for seven days! I lost 4.6 lbs, 2% body fat and managed to squeeze out a little bit of muscle at the same time, meaning everything I lost was fat. Suffice to say, I'm stoked. This is definitely working. I'm staying with this Turbulence Training thing, and at this rate it looks like I will be able to see those bad boys (currently under some belly fat) before I die.

I would love to give you my wife's detailed results, but she's still being stubborn. I will update, though, as soon as I can crack her iron will. I do know she's losing too, I can see it, and I heard her whooping and hollering in the bathroom yesterday.

When you download the books and audios, don't get overwhelmed. With so much information I felt a bit that way myself. Don't panic. It's easy to try to read everything, get overwhelmed and end up putting it away without getting started.

You don't have to read everything to get started. Begin with the Turbulence Training for Fat Loss Manual. You can do a lot of damage just with that one for a while. Grab it and just start, the very same day if you can. There is nothing like momentum to get something done. If you actually follow it, you will see results.

Fat Loss Ability:

I lost fat, a lot of fat for only one week, 4.6 pounds of it to be exact. I lost 2 % body fat and gained 0.4 lean muscle mass at the same time, all within seven days.

Ease of Use:

With only three required workouts a week, this program gets high points for usability. Now, people who are short on time have a shot at getting the body they want in shorter (but intense) workout times. The workouts are hard, but simple to do and understand. The manual contains lots of color photographs that clearly show and describe proper form.

The only challenge here is information overload. Focus on the fat loss manual to begin with and you'll do fine.
