5 No-Fail
Strategies to Lose Weight
|
Strategies are all about combining and
employing the means of war to direct your campaign to victory.
Fat loss is a war and if you want to win, you have to plan and
employ every maneuver you can. Here are 5 to help you on your
road to victory:
1. Get Emotional Support
Overeating is an emotional problem. Anxiety, work stress, money
worry and even family problems can be driving you to eat more
than you need. It makes sense to line up some emotional support
before embarking on any weight loss plan. Only you know how
serious your needs are. Don't be afraid to get professional
help; many employers offer Employee Assistance Programs that
offer a number off free sessions with a professional counselor,
and it's completely confidential. Enlisting the support of a
weight loss buddy you can call any time might work for you too.
Whatever you do, find someone you can to talk to.
2. Sit Down When You Eat
Eating on the run is never a good idea. Slow down and make it a
point to ritualize your eating. Stop dining over the sink or
standing up by the water cooler. Even if it's just a quick bite,
grab a seat first. Making an event out of your meal will help
you pace yourself and force you to be more mindful of the whole
eating experience. Pay full attention to the sight, smells and
taste of the foods you are consuming and you'll find that your
meals will become entirely more satisfying.
3. Snack on Nuts
Carry some nuts or seeds with you throughout the day for
snacking. Nuts, like raw almonds have been shown to help people
lose weight. The fat and protein content in nuts and seeds keep
you from feeling hungry and are a great source of zinc and
vitamin E. But, don't go overboard, a handful a day is more than
enough.
4. Say Yes to Eggs
Eggs are the world's most perfect protein. Eggs have amino acids
in the perfect proportions for human consumption. The only other
food more perfectly suited for humans is mother's milk. Eggs
have vitamin B12, which help you break down fats and build
muscle and they will keep you feeling satiated long after you
eat. People often have misgivings about the cholesterol in eggs.
But, in recent university studies egg cholesterol has been found
to have no connection to heart disease whatsoever. So, stop
worrying; one or two eggs for breakfast are not going to hurt
you.
5. Choose a Program and Commit Yourself to It
Losing weight may not be easy, but it can be simple. The problem
is that most of us have trouble saying focused, and that's where
a good weight loss program comes in. If you reduce calories (a
little) and exercise (a lot) you are going to lose weight -
guaranteed. But, without structure it's almost impossible to
stay focused to the end goal. Stop waiting for some new
revolutionary miracle program to magically make your weight
disappear; choose a plan that you feel you can do and stick with
it.
Lose The Weight and Keep it
Off...
...For Good.
