Who Else Wants to Lose Belly Fat? |
Weight loss can be a challenge, but one area
that can be more of a challenge than just weight loss in general
is how to lose belly fat.
Having fat around the belly is an unsightly and unhealthy
problem. Studies have shown that having weight that accumulates
around your belly is even more dangerous than having excess
weight distributed evenly throughout the body.
Here are some tips to help you lose belly fat.
The first thing you need to do is to adopt a sensible eating
plan. Do not try crash diets or diets that promote only eating
one particular food or food group. You need to choose a diet
that deals with real food (not pre-packaged) and encourages
eating well-balanced meals throughout the day.
Avoid refined sugar. Eating a diet that is high in refined sugar
can help promote excess belly fat. The empty calories that are
contained in sugar offer no nutritional value and simply add to
your calorie count without having any benefits.
Get up and walk. Walking helps you lose belly fat because it
works on the deep belly fat layers first. Walking can actually
help you lose belly fat faster than just doing stomach crunches
or sit ups. Walking is an excellent exercise because it is easy
on the joints, inexpensive to start, and can be modified to
accommodate any fitness level. Simply lace up a pair of sneakers
and you are on your way!
For the best results, you need to walk at least 20 minutes per
day. If you can walk longer, then that is even better. Walking
several times per day for 10 or 20 minutes each is also
acceptable.
By combining a sensible eating plan and a regular exercise
regimen, you will lose belly fat and enjoy a healthier
lifestyle.
